How we will see unregistered users

Hi!

You get this message because you are an admin on a Wikimedia wiki.

When someone edits a Wikimedia wiki without being logged in today, we show their IP address. As you may already know, we will not be able to do this in the future. This is a decision by the Wikimedia Foundation Legal department, because norms and regulations for privacy online have changed.

Instead of the IP we will show a masked identity. You as an admin will still be able to access the IP. There will also be a new user right for those who need to see the full IPs of unregistered users to fight vandalism, harassment and spam without being admins. Patrollers will also see part of the IP even without this user right. We are also working on better tools to help.

If you have not seen it before, you can read more on Meta. If you want to make sure you don’t miss technical changes on the Wikimedia wikis, you can subscribe to the weekly technical newsletter.

We have two suggested ways this identity could work. We would appreciate your feedback on which way you think would work best for you and your wiki, now and in the future. You can let us know on the talk page. You can write in your language. The suggestions were posted in October and we will decide after 17 January.

Hallo Krd. Kleine Frage: In Category:Guido Seiler figuriert die Universität Nürnberg-Erlangen – keine Ahnung, wie die dort hineingekommen ist. Richtig wäre die Uni Zürich, und Zürich müsste auch unter Wirkungsort erscheinen. Wie kann man das korrigieren? Angst vor Weiterbenutzung und Veränderung

Hallo Krd. Eben habe ich in Absprache mit der Urheberin (der Gattin des im Dezember verstorbenen Dargestellten) die Foto File:Alfred Egli.jpg eingestellt. Nun aber sieht sie im Zustimmungsformular, dass die Foto «weiterverwendet» und «verändert» werden darf, und will das Bild wieder zurückziehen (dabei hatte ich ihr das im Voraus alles mitgeteilt). Bevor ich dich bitte, es deshalb wieder zu löschen, versuche die Urheberin aber noch zu überreden ... Frage: Gibt es allenfalls eine Lizenz, die das Bild besser schützen würde, also in einem Sinn, den sie beruhigen würde? Oder habt ihr selber noch Argumente auf Lager, mit denen man verunsicherte Urheber beruhigen kann, dass eine entwürdigende Weiterverwendung oder Veränderung unwahrscheinlich ist? Please reopen my PeerBot request

Since you closed my PeerBot request, there have been some developments: I have open sourced the code (but it is not yet deployed anywhere) and I implemented it to use dumps. But dumps (nor SQL tables) provide all data I need, so I still have to use API calls. Being able to do more requests in parallel would help me speed up indexing. So I would like to ask to reopen the request. I could make a new one if that is preferred, but I think it is better to have history of the request? Mitar (talk) 07:23, 12 February 2022 (UTC)

Meiner Meinung nach wäre das auf der Dateiseite nicht angebracht. Dort sollte man sich auf die wesentlichen Informationen zur Datei beschränken. Die Datei-Disk sollte dafür ausreichend sein. --Krd 04:14, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

I've now read the correspondence – I'd managed to blank out all recollection of that interminable Benzoni timesink. Question for either or both of you: do you see anywhere, there or elsewhere, permission from the publisher, Garzanti? Obviously we're not going to discuss any personal or private data in the open; but the name of the publisher of the book is a matter of record – you know, it's written in big letters on the front cover, as is the name "Benzoni". Would you care to reply to the question I asked (privately if you prefer), or shall I go ahead and nominate the image for deletion? To be clear, I'm not an expert of any kind on copyright in general or Italian copyright in particular; all I'm seeing is permission that appears to be inadequate, and since it was you that added it, I'm a little perplexed. Frage: Wenn man etwas unter CC BY-SA 4.0 stellt, hat man dann das Urheberrecht an Creative Commons (wer auch immer das ist) abgetreten oder aber nur Creative Commons eine Lizenz erteilt, Unterlizenzen zu vergeben, das Urheberrecht aber behalten? Durch die CC-Lizenz wird anderen ein Nutzungsrecht eingeräumt. Der Urheber bleibt das Urheber und auch Rechteinhaber. Er kann z.B. über die CC-Lizenz hinausgehende Rechte zusätzlich nutzen. --Krd 15:47, 8 June 2022 (UTC)

My mistake, it's a peer review of the submitted application.
Commons:Bots/Requests's point II currently assigns the task of adding the template into the list of applications to the applicant, not the reviewvers. I'm ok with either way, but the guideline and the practice should align, applicants should not be surprised by practices contrary to the stated guidelines.
May we move this conversation to Commons talk:Bots/Requests ? Beyond this little case with no detrimental impact, this conversation is relevant to the project and guidelines, which need a revamp, so to reduce and avoid such surprises and unnecessary frictions. We had some cases whre bot requests were created but never listed, so never got noticed. To avoid that, requests should be listed immediately or kept in a different place for preparation.

Hallo Krd,

ich hatte die Datei im März in Commons:Deletion requests/File:Anstellung des Stadtarchivs Dr. Schulte, Münster.png behalten, weil ich denke, dass hier wegen gänzlich unoriginellen Inhalts keine Genehmigung benötigt wird. Dass jetzt Monate später die Datei wegen nicht oder nicht richtig geschickter Genehmigung gelöscht wird, war eine nicht bedachte Nebenwirkung dieser Genehmigungs-Geschichte.

Hallo Krd, ich habe gerade entdeckt, dass Du anscheinend bei diesem Bild die Ticket Permission eingesetzt hast. Diese stellt mich vor Rätsel. Vielleicht kannst Du dieses Rätsel auflösen:

In den Metadaten des Bildes hat der Fotograf mit ziemlichem Nachdruck seinen Namen, seine Kontaktdaten und seine Rechtsansprüche hinterlassen.

Der Hochladende hat ausdrücklich bestätigt, dass er nicht der Fotograf ist und dass er bislang auch keine Genehmigung des Fotografen zur Veröffentlichung unter CC-Lizenz vorliegen hat. Ja, mehr noch: Er sagt, es hätte hierzu keine Korrespondenz mit dem VRT-Team gegeben. Da frage ich mich doch: Was kann dann überhaupt in diesem Ticket bzw. in dem VRT-Schriftverkehr drinstehen?

Ich habe vor einigen Tagen dazu auch auf dem VRT-Noticeboard eine Anfrage gestellt, aber die Antwort, die ich dort bislang erhalten habe, lässt mich vermuten, dass der Antwortende sich mehr mit dem angelsächsischen Copyright als mit dem österreichischen Urheberrecht auskennt.

Warum Streichung?

Hallo Krd, mir ist gerade aufgefallen, dass sich die deutsche Übersetzung von {{Permission received}} etwas seltsam liest. "Beim Volunteer Response Team ist eine E-Mail bezüglich dieser Datei eingegangen, die von Mitgliedern des Teams hier eingesehen werden kann. Die möglichen Gründe dafür könnten sein: das Fehlen einer freien Lizenz, die Herkunft der E-Mail ist unklar, oder sie kam nicht vom Urheber bzw. Inhaber der Nutzungsrechte." Da schien mir etwas zu fehlen ("Die möglichen Gründe dafür könnten sein..." scheint sich nicht recht auf "ist eine E-Mail bezüglich dieser Datei eingegangen" zu beziehen), und beim Blick auf das englische Original sehe ich davor tatsächlich den Satz "However, the message was not sufficient to confirm permission for this file." So ergibt dann auch der folgende Satz Sinn. Ich sehe nun, dass er in der deutschen Übersetzung mal enthalten war, du hast ihn aber 2019 gestrichen. Hallo. Das "Leider genügten die bisher eingegangen E-Mails noch nicht unseren Anforderungen für eine Freigabe." habe ich rausgenommen, weil es nicht zwangsläufig zutreffend ist. Es kann auch genauso gut sein, dass die Freigabe völlig in Ordnung ist, aber nur noch nicht bearbeitet wurde. Das führte in einigen Fällen zu Verwirrung. Wenn Du eine bessere Formulierung findest (die das ganze nicht zu sehr aufbläht), könnte man natürlich gern wieder etwas einsetzen. --Krd 12:25, 4 September 2022 (UTC)
Grundsätzlich finde ich ja, dass sich die Texte von Templates in den verschiedenen Sprachversionen nicht zu sehr voneinander unterscheiden sollten. Dein Argument wäre genauso sehr auf den englischen Text anwendbar, wo der Satz aber noch drin steht (sogar fett hervorgehoben). Müsste er dann nicht auch dort gestrichen werden? Jedenfalls entsteht durch die ersatzlose Entfernung ein Logikbruch. Ich schlage vor, zumindest so umzuformulieren: "Die möglichen Gründe dafür könnten sein:" weglassen und stattdessen einfach schreiben: "Möglicherweise fehlt eine freie Lizenz, die Herkunft der E-Mail ..." etc. OK? Der Unterschied scheint zu sein, dass deutschsprachige Kunden offenbar besonders gern Verständnisfragen stellen. Daher möchte ich, flapsig formuliert, dort möglichst nicht "es könnte sein: a) oder b) oder c)" stehen haben, sondern eher "es ist noch nicht fertig, bitte nicht fragen sondern einfach abwarten". Du kannst aber gern machen, man kann es ja nochmal probieren, und wenn es zu schlimm wird wieder ändern. --Krd 14:03, 4 September 2022 (UTC)

Hi Krd. Can you also check File:Cometdiscovery.jpg to see whether it can be covered by ticket #2022090310005306 that was sent in for File:Dm img.jpg. The uploader is the same person (she states she's the wife of the subject of the photo) and perhaps there's a way that she could be emailed and asked if she also wants the VRT ticket to cover this photo as well.

She also uploaded File:Visual Comet Discoverer Donald Machholz.jpg and File:Don Machholz Comet Discoverer.jpg: these are essentially the same photos as the "Dm img" photo which means they too probably would seem to be covered by the same ticket. Since the "Visual Comet Discoverer Donald Machholz" file was the first to be uploaded, maybe the {{PermissionTicket}} template should be added there and the other then linked via {{Other version}} but not sure. FWIW, "Dm img.jpg" and "Don Machholz Comet Discoverer.jpg" seem identical except for the file name; so, I'm not sure both are needed. Bild mit gemischtem Inhalt

Hätte in diesem Fall die Vorlage {{fop}} nicht wegen der im rechten Bildabschnitt sichtbaren Skulptur (Brunnen) enthalten bleiben müssen? Die Freigabe von Jacques Tilly bezieht sich ja auf den im Bildinhalt abgebildeten Motivwagen. Richtig. Die Freigabe von Jacques Tilly bezieht sich auf den abgebildeten Motivwagen und für den Brunnen müssten wir aber fop angeben. Nur: Wie kann man das kombiniert und getrennt herausgestellt machen. Oder kann man der Vorlage fop noch Zusatztext (= worauf bezieht es sich?) mitgeben - ich habe hier nichts gesehen.
Alternativ könnte @Palauenc05 (als Inhaber der Bildrechte) das Bild so beschneiden, so dass die Brunnenskulptur nicht mehr enthalten ist. Das Bild würde dadurch aber in meinen Augen etwas an Wert verlieren. mfG - Martin (Rede gerne mit mir) 13:39, 6 September 2022 (UTC)

Request for verification of ticket:2022080610000629

My photos were tagged to be no permission in August, while most of the photos were taken by me, including:

I uploaded the original files of the above photos to permissions-common@wikimedia.org of the above image on August 7. All my tickets are handled by a VRT named Valera Domínguez (as stated in her email), she said all the tickets have been combined into ticket:2022080610000629, but they have not been verified for over a month, while some of them were deleted by bot.

When I asked her when the photos will be verified yesterday, she said she can't verify authorship since she cannot see the files with metadata.

However, I can see there are Metadata when I download the images from that email on both of my Windows and Mac computers (the Metadata cannot be shown if I download it on my phone and tablet). To proof it, I tried uploading one of the photos again (File:Olympian City 2 New Atrium 2019.jpg) to Wikimedia Commons, which also shows Metadata. Could you help me with this issue and verify the images tagged above? Thanks a lot.

Hi Krd, I've just come across your deletion of File:NHCSSG.png. Based on the edits it was used in it is clearly a part of , which has uploaded hundreds of copyvios over the years. I cannot see the user who uploaded the file (not an admin), but if they uploaded any others they are going to be copyvios as well. Hallo Krd. Heute haben Sie vielleicht dieses Photo gelöscht, bzw. unsichtbar gemacht ohne das darüber jemals eine Löschantrag gestellt wurde. Ich wurde von diese Löshung oder das Vorhaben dazu nie in Kenntnis gestellt. Es hat keine Löschdiskussion gegeben. Wohl wurde gefragt ob ich die Lizenz noch mal überprüfen konnte.

Daher habe ich der Künstler via Email um Erlaubnis gebeten, und diese Erlaubnis auch schriftlich erhalten und an VRT weitergeleitet. Ich habe Ihn die Lage geschildert, das Bild genannt, und die Konzequenzen der Genehmigung erklärt. Er schrieb mir "Ja das geht das kannst du machen, Mit freundlichen Grüßen Thomas.". Das sollte alles im VRT dossier dokumentiert sein.

Da hierbei angeblich formelle Fehler zu bemängeln gab, hab ich der Künstler am 5 Okt. nochmals eine preparierte Vordruck geschickt und zum zweiten Male um seine Mitarbeit gebeten. Das ist kaum 15 Tage her. Das das Bild nun anstatt mit Gütesiegel plötzlich gar nicht mehr sichtbar ist, überrascht mich sehr und erschwert natürlich erheblich das Abwicklen der formellen Lizenz. Ich bitte Sie höflich das voreilig gelöschte Bild noch mindestens zwei Wochen zurück zu stellen. Bevor man überhaubt mal eine formelle Löschantrag startet und mich davon dann auch korrekterweise benachrichtigt. Peli (talk) 16:46, 19 October 2022 (UTC)

DFoidl has also removed {{No permission since}} from several of their other uploads. Those uploads, along with the one discussed here, are mostly low resolution with no camera metadata. They recently edited a file description to go from attributing someone else to attributing themselves, and have been uncivil at User talk:Justlettersandnumbers#My photos. Dear Krd,

The file File:1982-a-love-marriage.jpg had been used on nl.wiktionary (WikiWoordenboek) for over 4 years, when it was suddenly removed without us getting any prior notice. This doesn't look like a proper procedure in a co-operative movement. Because the image has been removed, I cannot assess the possibility to resolve the issue raised or look for a fitting replacement. How am I supposed to answer your questions if I cannot see the picture for myself? It is quite possible that replacing the picture would be a better solution, but how do I replace a picture I cannot see? Thank you for your response. Some recent events have caused me to re-evaluate things in my life. And my life as a whole. I was never able to put the whole "grilling the sheriff" debacle behind me because nobody corrected the faulty interpretation of statements in the noticeboard discussion: the community believed I made threats off-wiki. I had written some awful comments on-wiki, but people's imagination ran wild on what those supposedly off-wiki threats would contain. This has been eating away at me, rather badly. To this day I'm afraid of how this could affect me in the future IRL and can only pray it won't.
I can't make you or anyone else make that clarification, that there never were any off-wiki threats, though I'd still appreciate it greatly if you'd consider it. Restore WH40K images

Oh God. I've had SO MANY ARGUMENTS defending this image and I wake up today to find that it's been deleted because I got sick for a while and so couldn't catch this latest kerfuffle.

I would like you to restore File:Keno mini wargame.jpg and File:Operation Sci-Fi Con 2015 WH40K.jpg. I've argued that these images are acceptable under DE MINIMIS because none of the individual miniatures are shown in focus, in high resolution. Look at the Wikipedia article for De minimis (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/De_minimis). The article shows a panorama picture of the Georgian skyline. This is what the caption says:

The country of Georgia has no legally recognized freedom of panorama, and a strict interpretation of copyright law makes commercial reproduction of a likeliness of any modern Georgian building a likely copyright violation. However, a panorama of a Georgian city (here, Batumi), which does not focus on any building in detail, is likely allowed due to de minimis principle

If you removed all the buildings in the image, the image wouldn't make sense either. I apply the same logic to that WH40K pic. None of the figurines are shown in detail. Hello Krd. Recently, you closed Commons:Deletion requests/File:Female body hair removal.jpg as Kept with the rationale "no deletion reason". Perhaps this was a mistake as I quoted the guidelines that were at issue in the nomination. In the deletion discussion there was debate about whether this rationale should also be applied to the uploader's other uploads as well, but there was no disagreement or question about whether it applied to the nominated image. There seemed to be consensus that the image did in fact violate a Commons guideline, namely Commons:Photographs of identifiable people. If you believe that isn't the case, perhaps you could explain why. Stating simply "no deletion reason" doesn't seem accurate, however. Thanks for your consideration. Uploading a model release to the VRT would certainly suffice, although according to COM:IDENT, "Normally it is sufficient that the uploader asserts that appropriate consent was given." Any guidance you can provide in this area would be appreciated, as there seems to be little to no documentation on how to actually handle non-compliance with COM:IDENT. Yes. The VRT doesnot process modell releases, for a whole lot of reasons I'm would prefer not to discuss today. Could you undelete and formally nominate files by User:狄の用務員?

Most of their uploads are AI generated own works that superficially look like proffesional art, and they’re an inexperienced good-faith user who might not understand how the ticket system works. @Dronebogus: I thought those images were ok, but Not only did they receive deletion and copyright tags at Wikimedia, also received criticism at Wikipedia:ja last week. I initially hope to keep the images, but I came to think that they were better off being deleted because of its time consuming of dealing with frequent claims, then I told to withdraw my application to VRT. Dear Krd! Thank you very much for all you have done for my deletion request! One of the images I requested to be deleted has now disappeared from Wikimedia Commons (File:Hegedűs Miklós, 2022.jpg). I am glad about that.

However, I also requested the following files to be deleted:

The rights holders have not consented to the publication of the images, partly because they have the right to publish them in pictorial form (the image of the paintings), and partly because the caption and content contain data that violate personal rights and which they do not wish to publish (place of burial and anthroposophical connection).

The pictures of Miklós Hegedűs are from Ibolya Beluk, not from his heirs, and since the painter died in 2022, permission would have to be obtained from his descendants, which they refused to grant on 12 November. Unfortunately, I am not familiar with the process of deletion here. You know the options here, please help me to get these files I uploaded on 11 November removed from Wikimedia Commons.

Hello @Krd, I am Gorana Gomirac, GLAM Manager at Wikimedia Serbia and I have been coordinating Wikipedian in residence projects in Serbia. In one of the projects recently, Wikipedian in residence at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, you have deleted one photo (on Decembar 9th) that we delivered permission for (on December 7th). Neural picture deletion

As you can read on discussion from my link, this files was kept because AI-generated images doesn't protected by copyright at all, as stated in Template:PD-algorithm. Is this template provides wrong information and must be deleted?

Pictures deleted

Hello @Krd, you deleted some pictures from my article about father Jose Maria Arizmendiarrieta. The 11th of June of 2021, I asked for permission to use them to the Arizmendiarrieta Christian Foundation, and some days later they sent me a written response certifying that "The same day that you requested authorization for the use of photographs from our website, we left a message on your telephone answering machine, indicating that you can count on our authorization." Template Freigabe

Hallo und Sorry für Störung. Da du {{Permission received}} aber gebaut hast: Ich hatte neue Bilder hochgeladen und das Amt für Kulturgüter hat eine Freigabemail gesendet. Mir dauerte das etwas lange und Ich hab auf der Hilfeseite mal nachgefragt. Ich hab den Text nur mit dem Parameter, dass das in der Warteschleife ist - keine Probleme benannt. Das ist ja automatisch? Ein Missverständnis scheint, dass die 30 Tage auch für die Warteschleife gelten? Machen kann/muss ich ja jetzt nix? Ich lese da eher, dass das nur gilt, wenn ICH innert 30 Tagen auf eine Bearbeitung eines Agenten nicht reagiere. Eventuell könnte man in dem Fall, dass das nur wartet, den unteren Text noch weglassen und nur sagen, dass es wartet? Vielleicht noch, wie lange ungefähr. Erst wenn eine konkrete Frage kommt, also der Parameterwert nicht 1 ist, sollte man auf die 30-Tage-Frist aufmerksam machen? Verstehst du, was ich als Unbeleckter meine und verstehe? Hallo Meginrat. Die Bilder werden gelöscht, wenn nach 30 Tagen keine Freigabe erfolgreich bestätigt ist, und werden wiederherstellt, wenn die Freigabe komplett ist. Das Support-Team hat keine Ressourcen, irgendwelche Zwischenstände zu dokumentieren. In der Regel liegt die löschung daran, dass der Einsender der Freigabe nicht auf Rückfragen reagiert. --Krd 11:50, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
danke, auf der Hilfeseite hat jetzt jemand die Probleme genannt, die ich aber nur halb verstehe. Wir haben uns eine Mail gesucht und die ausgefüllt und das Amt (keine Ahnung von Wikipedia) hat die gesendet. Nun ist unklar, ob die das dem Amt rückgemeldet haben und was die genau tun sollen. Sprich müssen das Amt als Rechteinhaber UND der Fotograf eine Mail senden und reicht EXIF für das Datum nicht? Ich würde die Mails vorbereiten, der nächste Schuss sollte dann aber sitzen. OK, bisher haben wir aber keine gehabt (die Frau vom Amt hat Weihnachtsurlaub, falls da was eingegangen wäre). Das heute kam ja nur nach Intervention. Es wäre schon gut, wenn der Uploader auch informiert wird. Die Diskussion auf der Hilfeseite ging weiter. Im Kern läuft es wohl darauf hinaus, dass auch der Fotograf die Freigabe erteilen muss. Dass ist machbar. Die ganzen inhaltlichen Fragen auch auf commons einzuarbeiten wie gewünscht mag schön sein. Aber ich wüsste gar nicht, wo und wie (nur der Uploadassistent hatte mehr Felder). Für mich steht auch aus Zeitgründen im Mittelpunkt, in WP einen gut bebilderten Artikel zu der Kapelle zu haben. Wir optimieren die Prozesse im Support über die Gesamtmenge der Vorgänge und nicht auf jeden einzelnen. Solange die Kommunikation im Ticket stattfindet, wird alles gut werden. Diskussionen auf Hilfeseiten sind eher nicht zielführend. --Krd 14:09, 20 December 2022 (UTC)
Hab mir auch überlegt, ob das der richtige Ort ist. Zumal wenn das dann so gemacht wurde, das man das dazu findet. Wie kann man aber als gewöhnlicher User im Ticket kommunizieren? Auf der Hilfeseite ist es ja abgeschlossen und ich werde in die mail von dem Fotografen oder dem Amt den Link darauf als Hinweis einbauen. Nochmal: Falls der Einsender der Freigabe eine Rückfrage erhalten hat, ist das in aller Regel eine sehr einfach Frage, die man einfach beantworten kann. Es hilft absolut nichts, ihm dazu noch etwas zu erklären. Einzig entscheidend ist, dass er antwortet.
Im Vorgang involviert bleibt man, indem man dem Rechteinhaber nicht nur schreibt "Bitte senden Sie … an …", sondern auch "bitte nehmen Sie mich in Kopie." --Krd 18:05, 20 December 2022 (UTC)

File:Jesus Torres at Hull House Kilns (1927)

Hello, @Krd: I was working on the page for Jesus Torres for a class, and the photo I uploaded from the University of Illinois at Chicago Jane Addams Hull House Collection was removed, due to a lack of clear copyright. I therefore have two questions:

1) If I wait until January 1, 2023, would that image (pub. 1927) enter the public domain?

2) If not, should I contact the UIC Special Collections Library and have them sort the copyright out? As I understand it "all non-commercial use" is insufficient, correct?

Hallo @Krd,

vor einigen Tagen wurden ein paar Bilder zum Theater in Magdeburg gelöscht. Mich würde der genau Grund interessieren, da manche der Dateien schon recht lang auf Commons vorhanden waren. (z.B. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Schauspielhaus_Theater_Magdeburg_.jpg)

Could you possibly undelete File:Yvonne Rust potting 1974 Caffyn (cropped).jpg? It's an extracted image of File:Yvonne Rust potting 1974 Caffyn.jpg created with CropTool, so should inherit its permissions, but it looks like this didn't happen. Violation of Copyright?

good morning Krd, I want to kindly ask you the reason why you removed the images I have posted on the page I am working on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Silly_Mountain_(Arizona) on the section "Gallery" for "copyright violation". I think it is a mistake, all the images I posted about Silly mountain have the proper permission since I personally got in touch with the owner of the photos I posted and we followed precisely the copyright protocol. The problem is not with the photos but with what is depicted in them. They show signs which themselves are copyright protected but no permission is achievable. Perhaps the images can be used directly in the English Wikipedia per Fair Use rationale. --Krd 15:04, 26 December 2022 (UTC)

I must have been unable to find the exact image URL last time, but trying again I can track it down to https://i.natgeofe.com/n/e3ae5fbf-ddc9-4b18-8c75-81d2daf962c1/3948225_3x4.jpg if that's not a dynamic URL - you will notice the feathers along the back of the bird's neck have the same silhouette. Deleted images of Washington and Stone Bridges

Hello. You deleted 8 images of these bridges on 10 December due to lack of permission received. While I understand they can't remain indefinitely, the copyright holder's representative, who also approved File:Stone Bridge - RI.jpg, had told me he approved these on 17 November using the VRT Release Generator. I was not aware of a time-limit after which the images would be deleted without warning and, instead, thought the VRT was just very busy. Obviously, I cannot expect you to consider them as approved based solely on this message but, if he resubmits the approval, can they then be restored? Waz8 (talk) 04:21, 11 December 2022 (UTC)

He did not receive a ticket number but will resubmit a release for this batch as well as the ones I uploaded on 16 November, which were recently deleted. Can you determine whether a release e-mail was received for File:Sakonnet River Bridge during construction.jpg? I uploaded this and 8 others on 1 December, and he says he approved them on 8 December via the Release Generator. I have no insight as to whether their permission is still pending due to the current backlog (14 days per the VRT Noticeboard) or the release e-mail was never received, acknowledged, or filtered as spam.
