Masters of Meher Baba

[edit]

Meher Baba had five spiritual masters who he said were the five 'perfect masters' of his time. The first was Hazrat Babajan of Poona who he said gave him God-realization when he was 19. He then spent seven years under the care of his primary teacher, Upasni Maharaj of Sakori, staying with him intermitently until the age 27. During this time he also contacted three other masters, Sai Baba of Shirdi, Tajuddin Baba of Nagpur, and Narayan Maharaj of Kedgaon.
