English: Frederick William I (German: Friedrich Wilhelm I) (August 14, 1688 – May 31, 1740) of the House of Hohenzollern, was the King in Prussia from 1713 until his death. He is popularly known as "the Soldier-King" (der Soldatenkönig). He was married to Sophie Dorothea von Braunschweig-Lüneburg. Children: Friedrich der Große and Wilhelmine von Preußen
