Summary[edit]

Description
English: Let us explain our traditional practice in the Garo Hills. If we don't practice Shifting cultivation we will not survive. This is how we manage our lands for generations. We always grow millet because it is a staple crop, highly nutritious and needs no irrigation. With millet we practice multicropping, we grow up to 50 crops in our field.
