Description
English: The pineal gland regulates the day-night rhythm of the body by releasing melatonin. When it gets dark and hardly any light reaches the eyes, it releases melatonin. The increased melatonin level makes us tired.
Deutsch: Die Zirbeldrüse reguliert über die Melatoninausschüttung den Tag-Nacht-Rhythmus des Körpers. Wenn es dunkel wird und kaum mehr Licht auf die Augen trifft, schüttet sie Melatonin aus. Der erhöhte Melatonin-Spiegel macht uns müde.
