| Description |
English: This 4k drone video was taken in May 2022 at the Deva castle in Hunedorara County, Romania. There is some ambiguity over the origin of the name but is it's likely that the name of the fortification Deva and town has its basis from an old Dacian term "DAVA" which means fortress.
The castle is first mentioned in 1269 as "castrum Dewa" and it has a fascinating history. As of 2022 the castle is being reconstructed and you can see all the work that is being done in the video but at the time of the filming, it was open to visitors.
