"Respected Friend New York March 11 1828
R P Hunt
We have a [illegible] note [illegible] us from of Lee & Townsend of $3548 [amt?] It being [so?] small a one we thought it would not be [best?] for them to send it to us but to give it to you and if you will give them a receipt for it - Our account against them including the interest is $70.96 - We sold them a bbl of White Lead which they say they bot for some person in waterloo and - which they will see paid shortly, we should like you to speak to them and endeavour to get it settled as soon as possible amt of the bbl $91-92 The note you will please to take charge of and collect when it be due - in doing us the above favour you would much oblige us and perhaps we may sometime be able to return the same Your &c A & W Underhill"
