US/Canada border monument 903. Minnesota/Manitoba. Note that the name of the country is written on the side of the monument that is in that country, thus opposite of the effect of a highway road sign "welcome to XYZland". Looking north (into Canada, of course). I've scribbled on the photo to say we are at 95d 33' W, 49d N (49.000 exactly, unless you want to get picky about geodetic datums, and spoil the fun.) Elev. 334 m. Sec 27 T164N R38W Roseau Co. MN; Sec 5 T1N R15E Sprague area, Manitoba. Pictured is DENG Yingyu. |
