POTD should be a Featured Image?[edit]

I have suggested on the English-language Talk for this page that we should select the Picture of the day from Featured Pictures only. That rule is already in place on the English page, but corresponding pages in different languages may have different rules, which seems undesirable. Can I suggest a discussion to decide whether we do want this rule? If so, it would be helpful if someone could edit this page to correspond to the English version. I already changed the text to correspond to the english version. I think it makes no sense to have different rules since the picture of the day is the same for everybody. And it should definitely be a featured picture, otherwise we risk having bad quality images as POTD (wich as been happening...). Lusitana 10:47, 15 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
