  •  Oppose I disagree. The border of head is not seen because of black background --Zcebeci 21:11, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
  •  Support I see a very good image and I see the border of head. Maybe that it is a problem of a too dark monitor somewhere. -- Spurzem 07:55, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
  •  Support per Spurzem. --Smial 15:58, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
  •  Support per Spurzem. --Aristeas 11:21, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
  •  Support I agree with Spurzem. --Draceane 11:23, 25 March 2020 (UTC)

[edit]

  • Nomination View of 70 St Mary Axe from Wormwood Street --Bobulous 11:19, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Promotion
  •  Oppose The sky too bright, the street too dark --Poco a poco 12:05, 21 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Requesting discussion, to hear from others. I processed this from RAW on a calibrated monitor, and I think the balance is just right: the sky is a sunrise, the building which is the subject is exposed clearly, and there is a lot of detail in the shadow areas. I don't think this can be made more neutral without killing the contrast completely. --Bobulous 12:21, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
  • You should have probably used HDR here Poco a poco 18:53, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
  • HDR always makes a photo look like a cartoon to me, when the sky/sunlit areas share the same scale as the ground/shaded areas, just looks unnatural. I can boost the shaded area brightness more, but it will hurt the contrast in the sunlit areas. Interested to hear several opinions, though. --Bobulous 19:58, 22 March 2020 (UTC)
I don't know any HDR images at commmons, at best 16 bit TIFF, but most is 8 bit JPG. What people here call "HDR" is tonemapping. And, yes, I agree, most "HDR" images here are absolutely horrible. --Smial 16:07, 24 March 2020 (UTC)
  • Full  Support. This is a photo with backlighting, and it is technically very well executed. Yes, objects in the foreground of a backlit photograph are dark, but that's the nature of backlighting. --Smial 10:41, 23 March 2020 (UTC)
  •  Support per Smial. The contrast is high, right, but it is very realistic. --Aristeas 11:24, 25 March 2020 (UTC)
Total: 2 support (excluding the nominator), 1 oppose → Promoted   --Seven Pandas 20:34, 27 March 2020 (UTC)
