Commons:Flickr batch uploading/SLNSW WWI
The State Library of New South Wales has many images in Flickr Commons sets relating to WWI. Specifically: ANZAC Day, Armistice Day. These images are in the public domain (no known copyright restrictions). (See also the collaboration page WP:GLAM/SLNSW)
Suggest using {{PD-Australia}} in Category:Images from the State Library of NSW

[edit]Copyright is going to be fun with this set. For a lot of the images taken in Australia I'm pretty sure {{PD-Australia}} applies, but take for example this image, that's probably too recent. For the images in Europe it's going to be a even bigger puzzle.
Note that the Flickr "no known copyright restrictions" is not compatible with the precautionary principle (one of our core policies) so that is pretty useless for us I'm afraid. Multichill (talk) 16:09, 5 July 2013 (UTC)
State Library of NSW can provide OTRS release for these images, the 1957 example cited above is a Sam Hood image and the Library is the copyright holder. The images taken in Europe were published in Australia, can anyone advise on their status? Please contact Aliaretiree for further information. Aliaretiree (talk) 01:32, 8 July 2013 (UTC)
