What about animations made from astrophotos?

User @C messier: removed this category from this animation. However, not all Animations of comets are made from astronomical photographs (they can also be illustrations, art, diagrams, charts, etc). The same applies to Animations of astronomy. There already are cats for videos which often contain or are composed of astro-photos as well.

What do you think would be best here? A new Category:Animations of astronomical photographs? One would need to create many subcats in the respective categories. If so it would be nice if somebody created and populated it. Prototyperspective (talk) 12:12, 27 January 2024 (UTC)

@Prototyperspective: I am in the process of emptying the category from files beacuse it was quite populated with overcategorised or badly categorised images and will leave in this category only those conserning the process (including equipment used). I intend the end result (astrophotographs) to be only in the categories about the subject of the photo and equipment used.

I don't have any particular preference for the animations. Eg. the animations of astronomical diagrams‎ have already their own category. C messier (talk) 12:29, 27 January 2024 (UTC)
