{{en|1=The Street of Facades — in Petra, Jordan.

  • The route is lined with tall false fronted tombs, with impressive carved stone facades. The name has been given to the southern side of an area variously called Wadi Musa and Outer Siq. However, as the name "Street of Facades" is printed on some maps, many visitors take it for a real street name, of a street with opposing sides. As a result the tombs on the opposing, northern side, where we find the Royal Tombs, often are interpreted as being on the Street of Facades. This is wrong but will crop up so often that it must be accepted as a fact of life.
