Category:Portraits by name

This category tracks categories that are dedicated to individual portraits. These categories gather together many images of the same portrait or model, which may be of widely varying quality, resolution and coloration. These categories may also contain crops of detail from the portrait, and derivative works of the portrait (e.g. an engraving after the portrait). By grouping one portrait into its own category when Commons contains many copies of the portrait, the categorization of each artwork can be more consistent and accurate.

This category should only contain other categories. Galleries should be in the corresponding categories instead. Files should be in a parent or subcategory.
