Deutsch: Die 1843 zentral aufgestellte, 19 Meter hohe Friedenssäule (von Christian Gottlieb Cantian) mit bronzener Statue der Siegesgöttin Viktoria von Christian Daniel Rauch. Das Bildprogramm des Platzes wurde 1876 erweitert durch Allegorien der vier Siegermächte von Waterloo (oder Belle-Alliance), 1879 folgten noch die Plastiken Der Friede (von Albert Wolff) und Klio, die Geschichte der Freiheitskriege schreibend (von Ferdinand Hartzer).

English: The Peace Column (Friedenssäule), erected in 1843 by Christian Gottlieb Cantian, height: 19 meters, topped by the brass statue of Victoria, goddess of the victory (by Christian Daniel Rauch). In 1876 allegories of the four victorious allies of Waterloo (or Belle-Alliance in Prussian historiography) were added, in 1879 two more sculptures followed The Peace (by Albert Wolff) and Clio, writing the history of the liberation wars (Befreiungskriege) (by Ferdinand Hartzer).
