  • The sextant is tilted about the axis of the telescope, that is, the line connecting the observer to the heavenly body. This is to make sure that the image of the son or star is indeed touching the horizon. -- Alvesgaspar (talk) 19:23, 7 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
