This appears to be based in an image in the paper "The Recent Star Formation History of GR 8 from Hubble Space Telescope Photometry of the Resolved Stars". The image is "Based on observations with the NASA/ESA Hubble Space Telescope, obtained at the Space Telescope Science Institute, which is operated by the Association of Universities for Research in Astronomy, Inc., under NASA contract NAS 5-26555". I think this means the source image is PD but I can't find it in any NASA archives. Space Telescope Science Institute were certianly involved with the original image:
