This symbol intuitively communicates the four elements needed to produce good compost; air, water, carbon (browns) and nitrogen (greens).

Summary[edit]

Description
English: This symbol represents composting. To create good compost, we need air (blue), water (blue), carbon (browns) and nitrogen (greens). If mixed in the right proportions, the organic materials will be broken down through biological, physical and chemical process creating a nutrient rich and biologically diverse humic material.
