Description
English:

The Annual Seattle-King County Poultry Association Show began in January of 1909, exhibiting poultry, pigeons (in association with the Puget Sound Pigeon Club), and cats (with the Seattle Cat Club). A variety of prizes and cups were offered, with local dignitaries and animal specialists from other states acting as judges. This first effort was billed as the "largest and most successful on the Pacific Coast" and mentioned along with exhibitions at the Alaska-Yukon-Pacific Exposition. By 1910, almost 1,500 birds were exhibited at the event, which was held at the newly opened Sanitary Market building at the Pike Place Market . By 1919 the Seattle-King County Poultry Association had been absorbed into the Washington State Poultry Association, which continued to put on exhibitions. This complimentary ticket admits one to the Pigeon and Cat Show of the Seattle-King County Poultry Association, Inc.
