Overgrown Peel Main Drain at the Spectacles Wetlands

Summary[edit]

Description
English: An overgrown section of the en:Peel Main Drain in the northern section of the Spectacles Wetlands, Beeliar Regional Park, Western Australia. Built in the 1920s to drain the swampland of the area, it was a failure as it was never able to dewater the land sufficiently. The image shows the view north (towards Anketell Road) from where the hiking path crosses over the drain north of the northern wetland.
