Description
Eesti: Eurojaapani lehis – kõige kiirekasvulisem okaspuu Eestis. Eurojaapani lehist on eestikeelses dendroloogiakirjanduses nimetatud ka värdlehiseks või hübriidlehiseks. Maailmas on ta tuntud erinevate ladinakeelsete nimetuste all, ingliskeelses erialakirjanduses on ta kas Dunkeld larch või hybrid larch. Tegemist on puuga, mis on kasvatatud euroopa lehise õietolmuga tolmeldatud jaapani lehise käbialges arenenud seemnest. Kevadised emaskäbi alged ehk lehise "õied" (tegemist pole õistaimega!) on kaunilt värvunud, ja värv varieerub rohekaskollasest roosakaslillani. Käbialge võib olla ka mitmevärviline: lillaka servaga kollakasrohelised soomused. Enamasti on ühe puu käbialged sama värvi, kuid sama puu järglaste hulgas võib leida erinevat värvi käbidega puid.
