Summary[edit]

Description
English: Stirling Range National Park is located in Southwestern Australia, approximately 337 kilometres south-east of Perth. The range stretches 65 kilometres, and is a popular destination for hikers and seasoned bushwalkers. Kingia australis is a plant species found in the area; it shares many similarities to the genus Xanthorrhoea, or Grass Trees, the most notable difference being the flower size, shape and arrangement. These plants only grow about 1.5 centimetres per year, however they can live for centuries, with some specimens reaching a height of 6 metres.
