Description

Détail d'un immeuble de la section C de la Karl-Marx-Allee (coté nord)

Cette partie de la Karl-Marx-Allee a été conçue par l'architecte Richard Paulick qui a été retenu à l'issue d'un concours lancé le 25 avril 1951 par le conseil de Berlin.

Le boulevard Staline (Stalinallee) devait refléter les traditions artistiques de Berlin et la richesse de la nouvelle société socialiste.

Richard Paulick a utilisé des colonnes doriques au rez-de-chaussée supportant une terrasse, un toit plat et a su jouer sur les avant-corps et les arrière-corps pour alléger la masse du bâtiment.

Le Prix national de la République démocratique allemande a été attribué à l'architecte Richard Paulick en 1969. Richard Paulick a reconstruit en 1969 le Kronprinzenpalais (Palais du Prince Héritier), situé à côté du Staatsoper sur l’avenue Unter den Linden, surplombant Bebelplatz et le palais adjacent Prinzessinenpalais (Palais des Princesses).
