São Tiago ("Mayor") Os versos em espanhol são baseados nos versos da estrofe vinte e nove do poema Proverbios y cantares, do livro Campos de Castilla, de autoria do poeta espanhol Antonio Machado. Os versos originais são: "caminante, no hay camino, / se hace camino al andar.", que significam: "caminhante, não há caminho, se faz caminho ao andar." O Caminho do Sol é um caminho preparatório aos Caminhos de Santiago. A placa informativa no pilar à direita da imagem diz: English: Statue of the Apostle Saint James in front of the Immaculate Conception Mother Church, in Águas de São Pedro, Brazil. In a pedestal under the statue, there are the following sentences: Saint James ("Mayor") The verses in Spanish are based on the verses from the strophe twenty-nine of the poem Proverbios y cantares, from the book Campos de Castilla, written by the Spanish poet Antonio Machado. The original verses are: "caminante, no hay camino, / se hace camino al andar.", that means: "wanderer, there is no road, the road is made by walking."
