| Description |
English: In Chhath Pooja, Argh is offered to Lord Surya (the sun god). The person who performs Pooja has to keep a fast for 3 days and on the last day of festival Argh is offered to the Lord. Argh can be offered in any waterbody and the faster stands partially submerged. Small waterbodies like common pits are dug for those who are far away from rivers or lakes and some offer Argh at their home in waterpool as shown in the picture.
