Summary[edit]

Description
English: Hawaiian Geese or Nene, perfectly camouflaged Quite a few of these around at Slimbridge Wetland Centre - the world's rarest geese. By 1952 there were only 30 birds left. Slimbridge was instrumental in the successful breeding of these birds in captivity. They have a very distinctive furrowed neck and are beautifully coloured.
