Description

As Fragas de S. Simão representam uma maravilhosa obra de arte natural, compreendendo duas enormíssimas fragas escuras, de mais de cem metros de altura, formando uma apertada garganta de quatro a seis metros de largura, mantendo-se aprumadas até muito alto.

Dão-nos a viva impressão de que avançam em terrível fúria, tendendo a esbarrar-se. No fundo do desfiladeiro, a ribeira parece romper da base da encosta vizinha para logo avançar de encontro às rochas e debatendo-se nos escombros pedregosos, transforma as suas águas em espuma nervosa. A continuação dos rochedos, levantados em massas abruptas donde se erguem pinheiros e outros arbustos, dá-nos a ideia de que um ágil camponês vem tendo o cuidado de dispor a flora harmoniosamente. <a href="https://www.flickr.com/photos/bmfigueirodosvinhos/sets/72157617080545522/#">www.flickr.com/photos/bmfigueirodosvinhos/sets/7215761708...</a>
