Description
English: Abụba Ugo or Ugbene Ugo (Eagle feather) is used for different purpose in Igbo culture of Eastern Nigeria.

When Eagle feather (Abụba Ugo or Ugbene Ugo) is fixed on the cap of titled men it shows highly respected man, dignity and successful in a good way.

In the olden days , good omen and tidings are announced by affixing Eagle feather (Abụba Ugo or Ugbene Ugo ) on cap or hair

Some part of Igbo land use Eagle feather (Abụba Ugo or Ugbene Ugo ) on the cap of titled men to know how many titles the person has taken. Example if there are three Abụba Ugos or Ugbene Ugos (Eagle feathers) on a red cap of a person, it means that person has taken three titles.
Igbo: Eji abụba maọbụ Ugbene Ugo eme ihe dị iche iche na ala Igbo.

Ndi nze na ọzọ na etinye ya na okpu maka ugwu. Na oge gboo,onye ihe ọma mere na etinye abụba Ugo na okpu ya.

Eji kwa abụba ugo ole dị na okpu onye nze na ọzọ amara ọzọ ole onye ahụ chịrị. Ọmụmatu onye chịrị ọzọ atọ ga etinye abụba ugo maọbụ Ugbene Ugo atọ na okpu ya.
