| Description |
English: Looking south-southwest about 10 arcminutes from HD 93250 is this cluster of stars, also in the Carina Nebula. The brightest star in this field is HD 93162, a Wolf-Rayet star. This observation was also made for proposal 10602. The specified target for the image was MJ257, which is the next bright star just up and left of HD 93162 in this view.
This was another hard one to process. I spent a good number of hours today working out the charge bleeds and filter ghosts. It was a little easier than the previous one, though. Edit 2014 Aug 21: Hrmph, this one was not a hidden treasure after all. I try to make sure I don't repeat work someone else has done because there is so much in the archive that hasn't been done. Sometimes I miss it in my search because I fail to use the right search terms. Red: ACS / WFC F850LP Green: ACS / WFC F550M Blue: ACS / WFC F435W North is NOT up. It is 40° clockwise from up. |
