Description
English: Military engineers from the Netherlands repairing a bridge in Sumatra, August 1949.

Beschrijving : De Genie is in Indonesie vooral befaamd om het werk dat hij levert bij het herstellen van bruggen en wegen. Hier enige opnamen van de in aanbouw zijnde baileybrug over de Moesi, nabij Tjoeroeg (Sumatra). De brug bij Tjoeroep zal de eerste baileybrug in Z-Sumatra zijn waarbij betonnen pijlers worden gebruikt. Op de foto, de in aanbouw zijnde bekisting voor een der pijlers.
