Charles Chaplin as The Tramp, although I personally prefer the name Charlot, which is used in French and several other languages. His first appearance was Kid Auto Races at Venice, also known because of being one of the first films where the camera breaks the fourth wall. The last time The Tram showed up on the screen was in Modern Times, one of my favourite films from all times. Since I was a kid I would sing this song he composed and greatly played:
