Description
Español: Diagrama que relaciona las doce notas del sistema musical occidental, enlazadas mediante intervalos de quinta temperada, que es una quinta pura ligeramente reducida. La reducción que se practica a la quinta pura para dar la quinta temperada, es la doceava parte de la coma pitagórica, y es un intervalo de aproximadamente 2 cents, lo que deja a la quinta temperada en 700 cents exactos, frente a la quinta perfecta que es de aproximadamente 702 cents. A esta pequeña diferencia de 2 cents que resulta de dividir la coma pitagórica en doce partes iguales, se denomina Schisma.
English: Diagram relating the twelve notes of the Western musical system, linked by intervals of the tempered fifth, which is a slightly reduced pure fifth. The reduction made to the pure fifth to give the tempered fifth is one twelfth of the Pythagorean comma, and is an interval of approximately 2 cents, which leaves the tempered fifth at exactly 700 cents, as opposed to the perfect fifth which is approximately 702 cents. This small difference of 2 cents, which results from dividing the Pythagorean comma into twelve equal parts, is called Schisma.
