Title
Bronze Age flint fabricator fragment (drawing)
Description
English: Flint fragment of a fabricator, rectangular in plan, trapezoidal in profile and in section. Both edges of the dorsal face have been invasively retouched to the medial ridge. The flint is slightly translucent and light brown-grey in colour. The length to breadth ratio is about 3:2, but it is a fragment, and probably about a third of its original length. Bond (2004) illustrates a similar example of a complete fabricator on page 152, Fig.5.136, No.F151, which is dated to the Early Bronze Age.
