Description
English: Escutcheon Field: Azure / Sable.

Charges: A chevron argent surrounded by two maple leaves argent and a crowned anchor argent.

Design rationale: The colors azure represent Greece, while the two maple leaves argent represent his two Greek/Canadian sons. The crowned anchor argent represents his years of service in the Hellenic Royal Navy. The mountain-like geometry of the lower escutcheon represents the struggles of life one has to overcome. It also mimics the bow of a ship.

Bordure: Although the use of bordure wavy marks an armiger as illegitimate by the College of Arms in England, in this case it symbolises the clouds that surround a mountain top and the sea foam that surrounds a moving ship (hence the use of the color argent). The armiger in question has Ottoman Greek origins and isn't constrained by the conventional traditions of heraldry in the West. This is therefore considered a para-heraldic element.
