Summary[edit]

Description

I don't know if it's actually called Beaver Lake. but it's at a location with Beaver in the name, so, that's what the lake shall be called.

Taken during the Perseids Meteor Shower in August this past year (2015). The larger trail towards the bottom is Pleadeis, and a comet is also seen above the tree line.

Three-quarters of the way up on the left, the lone star that isn't trailing, is our North Star. Sometimes also referred to as Polaris. The South Pole doesn't have a "South Star" per say, however, Sigma Octantis is the star we see with our naked eye while looking towards the south that represents nearest where the South Pole sits.

Due to changes in declination, proper and precision motion, and cycles in space, the North Star changes position. Polaris' position cycle will take over 27,000 years to complete.

StarStax processed, something short like 50 shots. Sony A7 MkI and Rokinon 14mm f/2.8 lens.
