Description
English: Incomplete flint leaf-shaped arrowhead, triangular in plan, and lozenge-shaped in profile and section. The dorsal face has been retouched throughout and both margins are bifacially retouched to create a point at the distal end. The ventral face has only been retouched at the margins and retains a smooth surface with some gloss across the whole face showing evidence of use-wear. The proximal end, which would have been attached to the haft or arrow shaft, has been broken off and is now missing, most likely through use. The flint is very pale patinated with a blackened burnt patch at the point end, the distal end of the dorsal face, and was likely derived from a local beach pebble.

Bond (2004) identifies the type of arrowhead as Type 1B on page 123, Fig.5.106 (after Green 1980), and illustrates a similar example on page 133, Fig.5.119, No.F26, which are both dated to the earlier Neolithic.
