Summary[edit]

Description
English: Also called 'nep-nep' or 'neb-neb' in Wolof, in Senegal, a useful tree across the African Sahel. Here shown the seeds, also sections of the dry seed pods which are ground into powder (sold as shown in the sachet) to be used rubbed against the gums for helping alleviate teeth and gum problems. Twigs as shown are sold in a bundle as 'African toothbrushes' - one of several species of tree twigs used for that purpose. (Names vary between languages.)
