Description
English: Update 2014 Jan 18 - Recently this data was processed and released by the official Hubble people. I think they (specifically, Zolt, who continues to inspire me) did a much better job showing all the tiny lensed blue galaxies in the background. Check it out! What an amazing picture. You can see these galaxies in mine if you try hard but they are indeed quite faint. I'll have to try harder on the next dataset.

Abell 2744 again but this time with the available light from some deeper infrared data, specifically from the F160W filter. Any of the very, very red galaxies you see were very faint in the previous images or went undetected. In short, we can see the redder galaxies better with this one.

I think I like this one the best so far because of the extra infrared data and also because the closer crop lets us see the lensed galaxies easier. My favorite part is in the lower left quadrant of the image. There is a faint spiral galaxy which is blue and has a red center repeated at least three times that I can perceive.

Now there are lens models!

More on Frontier Fields.

This data is all available here.
