Summary
[edit]DescriptionAN ALTERNATIVE REFRACTION CREATED BY THE EVOLUTION.jpg |
English: A completely new concept of light in nature to attract insects to be caught surprises the scientists. So far, no one has managed to explain the strange light phenomenon. It is a small Australian spider that creates the effect in the orb web it weaves. What is nevertheless clear is that the protein build-up in the threads of the spider's web contributes to how the light is refracted. This happens in some unknown way, so that the protein chains in the silk threads code for the specific colors that appear. It occurs in separate structures, long bands of silk, behind the spider's web. Queensland, Australia 2015. |
