Title
73F788 Medieval lead alloy ampulla
Description
English: Medieval lead alloy pilgrim flask, 46mm long, 25mm wide and 8mm thick. The flask is 'bag shaped' with a rounded lower half and a trapezoidal upper half. There are traces of two semi-circular lugs at this point. The object is decorated on each side with a border of two raised concentric circles. Within these are two flower motifs formed of raised lentoid shapes, one side is six petalled and the other is five. This motif is thought to represent the Virgin Mary.
