So I'm sitting here at 1am in a NASA balloon hanger in the middle of nowhere, NM. About 18 hours into a 50 hour shift, with maybe a nap thrown in, but for now I have nothing to do! Been here three years in a row, so haven't taken any cool new photos, but this one is from last year. I and three of my college buddies somehow got put in charge of building/testing/operating a million dollar instrument on the high altitude balloon mission BRRISON, now BOPPS (silly name right?). Last year the mission suffered an ___insert-approved-NASA-keyword-for-didn't-work-here___, but this year we're back and ready to roll!
