Description
Deutsch: USA. Anonym. Will you help? The RED CROSS COUNTS on YOU (Willst Du helfen?
English: USA. Anonymous. Will you help? The RED CROSS COUNTS ON YOU (Need help? The Red Cross counts on you). 101 x 71 cm 1917.. (Slg.Nr. 356) The man is in French uniform with his wife and daughter in front of their burning house. Here the soldier could no longer protect his family. The Red Cross became the main Hilfsverein and received in 1917 the only Nobel Peace Prize of the war years.
