English: Photograph of a three storey tenement with shops on the ground floor. Two loaded washing lines hang from the second storey windows on the right. On the far right there are two women standing outside a shop under an awning facing the camera. Also on the right a little girl stands on the pavement facing the camera. Further along the street three men stand outside a confectioner's shop, two of them are facing the camera and one of them is looking up the street in the other direction. The shops are T.H Fleming Grocer & Spirit Merchant, Oakley Confectionery and R.J. Forbes. There are sheets hung over some of the shop windows. http://digital.nls.uk/74506880 |
