English: Neo-Renaissance building at 72 Rue de la Pomme, in Toulouse. Neo-Renaissance building at 72 Rue de la Pomme, in Toulouse. The building was built in the middle of the 19th century, at the crossroads between rue de la Pomme and rue du Poids-de-l'Huile. Neo-Renaissance architecture uses terracotta decorations from the factory of Auguste Virebent inspired by models of the Hôtel de Bernuy, the Hôtel du Vieux-Raisin and the Cathedral of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. The building has three light brick elevations developing on a ground floor, a mezzanine, three floors and an attic floor. The main elevation, at the corner, includes three spans. A stone balcony runs along the 1st floor. Below, a large terracotta clip, adorned with a Venus (molding of the Hôtel du Vieux-Raisin), gives birth to cornucopias surrounded by oak leaves. A cast iron balcony adorns the central window on the 2nd floor. The terracotta ornaments enliven the facade: pilasters, candelabra columns (casts of those of the Hôtel de Bernuy), consoles, medallions decorated with busts of figures (casts of the choir of the cathedral of Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges). This decor is found, more soberly, on the side elevation, rue de la Pomme. The elevation ends with a floor of roof spaces, opened by dormer windows in a broken slate roof.
