English: Panoramic picture taken of Seoul in 1929.
H-TRNS-100418-899 서울특별시 중구 『도성발굴의 기록 I: 아동광장 발굴조사 보고서』(2011) 1929년 촬영된 파노라마 사진의 일부로 해당부분은 남산의 전경을 보여주고 있다. 일본지리백과사전 등에 실린 사진이며, 앨버트 테일러가 취재 등의 목적으로 확보해서 소장했던 것으로 추정된다. 남산의 중앙으로 조선신궁을 오르는 계단이 보인다. 계단의 종점에는 중앙광장을 조성하여 이 일대가 절반 가까이 파괴되었고, 나머지 절반은 광장의 성토층에 편입되어 피해를 모면했을 것으로 판단된다. 사진의 우측으로 경성역(현 서울역)이 위치하고 있으며 그 맞은편으로 약현성당이 보인다. 사진의 좌측에는 배재학당, 조선은행(현 한국은행), 경성우체국(현 서울중앙우체국), 숭례문(남대문)의 모습을 확인할 수 있다. |
