Name: Kibbutz Mishmar HaNegev - Beit Habitachon
Description: This house was intended to serve as a last defense bastion in the event of a breach of the kibbutz's defense fence. Since the kibbutz was not attacked, the building survived the War of Independence and after that was used for a variety of purposes

שם: קיבוץ משמר הנגב -בית הבטחון
תיאור: בית זה נועד לשמש מעוז התגוננות אחרון במקרה של פריצת גדר ההגנה של הקיבוץ. מאחר שהקיבוץ לא הותקף שרד המבנה את מלחמת העצמאות ואחריה שימש לשלל ייעודים
הערות: הקיבוץ הוקם במוצאי יום כיפור 1946 כחלק מ־11 הנקודות. הקיבוץ נבנה תחילה על גבעה הנמצאת כחמש מאות מטרים דרומית למרכז היישוב ונקראת "הגבעה הראשונה". ב-1947 עבר הקיבוץ ל"גבעה השנייה" שם הוקם בקיץ אותה שנה בית הביטחון.
