[Bookplate of Fred E. Woodward, Washington, D.C.]

1 print : etching  ; bookplate 12.8 x 8.4 cm.

Notes: Plate designed by Paul Brockett. "Guardabosque, means Woodward"--handwritten inscription on back of plate. Title devised by Library staff. Print shows an elderly man seated on a chair next to a bookshelf and a book on the floor opened to a page displaying the word "No..." Text on bookplate reads: "Guardabosque, I'm stingy, grown, whats mine's my own!" Handwritten inscription on back of plate indicates Woodward was in charge of the book department at Woodward & Lothrop Department Store, Washington, D.C. Forms part of the Ruthven Deane Bookplate Collection.

Subjects: Woodward, Fred E.--(Fred Eugene),--1850-1930--Associated objects.

Format: Bookplates--1890-1900. Etchings--1890-1900.
