  •  Comment Good image but I have an issue with the scope, Charles. Per COM:VIS Domain-specific guidelines for animals, sub-scopes may be proposed that illustrate a specific aspect of behavior, relevant for Wikimedia projects (several examples given).
Angle of view is not behavior and plumage is inherently defined by the species or sub-species name. Suggest dropping “showing back and tail feathers”, allowing the scope become just the ssp name. Scope link is fine. --GRDN711 (talk) 01:29, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Can you read the full guideline GRDN711 "In that case the scope should be appended with a short description of the illustrated aspect, i.e. "eggs", "juvenile", "hunting", "mating", "hatching", "flying", "albino"." eggs, juvenile, albino are not behaviour but are accepted as suitable scopes. Also, Guideline 2 says a suitable scope is "A visually distinct type or significant aspect of an object". These tail feathers are 100% visually distinct and valuable, so I really don't understand where you are coming from. Why not query the two views of a motor car - back and front? or different views (N and S) of an important building? or dorsal and ventral views of an insect? The value of my scopes is shown by their use in Wikipedia articles. Charlesjsharp (talk) 11:08, 10 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
