Is your nomination that this image represents the best of all Common images of Catalan-style barques in Port-Vendres, France? Or is it the most valuable image of this individual barque with the name “Port Vendres” and ID# 291302? The latter seems to match you scope-link. --GRDN711 (talk) 13:55, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
It's the first version. The scope is still quite narrow, as only a handful of those restored barques of around 1900 exist in Port-Vendres, and this is the only image of one of them in action that has been uploaded so far. Just to limit the scope to this particular specimen, would be possible, too, but IMO would have been too narrow. --Palauenc05 (talk) 14:53, 11 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Good comment. A barque (barc, bark) is a type of sailing vessel, usually with multiple masts, often square-rigged but may also have triangular sails, similar to a xebec. This one is a particular type used historically as a Catalan fishing boat, having a single large triangular lanteen sail with the mast positioned in the middle. For better specificity, would suggest and support a change in the scope to “Historic Catalan barque in the port of Port-Vendres, France”. --GRDN711 (talk) 09:59, 13 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
