Reason Notocochlis tigrina, the Tiger Moon Snail, is a species which occurs from East Africa to South-East Asia and South East Australia. Fossil shells from the Pliocene of Italy (about 4 Mio. years ago) are considered to belong to the same species. This is a representative of the fossil - Pliocene - form. -- Llez (talk)
